Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,212 VND/USD on August 28, down 12 VND from the previous day.
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,423 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,001 VND/USD.
At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates also went down.
At 8:14 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 24,660 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,000 VND/USD (selling), both down 60 VND from August 26.
BIDV cut both rates by 55 VND, listing the buying rate at 24,660 VND/USD and the selling rate 25,000 VND/USD./.
