Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,212 VND/USD on September 11, up 18 VND from the previous day.
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,423 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,001 VND/USD.
At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates dropped after seeing increases on September 10.
At 8:15 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 24,495 VND/USD and the selling rate at 24,835 VND/USD, both down 15 VND from the previous day.
BIDV also reduced both rates by 30 VND, posting the buying rate at 24,500 VND/USD and the selling rate at 24,840 VND/USD./.
