Reference exchange rate up 2 VND at week’s beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,208 VND per USD on September 14, up 2 VND from the last working day of the previous week (September 11).

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,208 VND per USD on September 14, up 2 VND from the last working day of the previous week (September 11).

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,904 VND/USD and the floor rate, 22,512 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banks continued to stay stable.

At 8:25 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,060 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,270 VND/USD, both unchanged from September 11.

Meanwhile, BIDV added 5 VND to both rates, listing the buying rate at 23,090 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,270 VND/USD.

Techcombank also increased the rates by 2 VND, listing at 23,068 VND/USD (buying) and 23,268 VND/USD (selling)./.
