Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,250 VND/USD on August 7, up 10 VND from the previous day.
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,463 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,038 VND/USD.
At commercial banks, the opening hour rates also edged up.
At 8:32am, Vietcombank listed the rates at 24,970 VND/USD (buying) and 25,310 VND/USD (selling), both up 40 VND from August 6.
Meanwhile, BIDV raised both rates by 50 VND, listing the buying rate at 24,980 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,320 VND/USD./.
