General Secretary of the Paraguayan Communist Party (PCP) Najeeb Amado said there remains significant potential for bilateral cooperation, ranging from scientific and technological exchanges, education and university-level training, to trade, technology transfer and sustainable development.
Paraguay is one of Vietnam’s top 10 trade partners in Latin America, with bilateral trade reaching over 233 million USD in 2024, a 22.2% increase compared to the previous year, and nearly 146 million USD in the first 10 months of this year.
Both leaders praised the positive development steps in friendly relations between the two countries over the past three decades and agreed to create breakthroughs in cooperation in the years ahead.

Paraguay's strong products such as beef and oil products can meet the growing demand of the Vietnamese market. In return, Vietnam can export many industrial products to Paraguay. In addition, the two countries discussed cooperation measures in the fields of telecommunications and technology.
Paraguayan daily ABC Color has highlighted a recent Vietnam visit by Paraguayan Minister of Industry and Commerce Javier Gimenez, who came in efforts to promote bilateral cooperation.
