The remains of 26 liberation soldiers were found in a mass grave in the central province of Quang Ngai , on September 21.
Their remains were discovered by the Nghia Hanh People’s Committee and Quang Ngai’s Military Command, buried in a trench along with their personal belongings. They were identified as belonging to the C506A commando group under the Quang Ngai provincial Military Command.
The soldiers had laid down their lives while attacking the US-backed Saigon regime’s headquarters in Nghia Hanh district in January, 1968, according to Colonel Nguyen Cao Tu, the Deputy Head of the provincial Military Command./.
