KonTum (VNA) - A reburial service was held in the Central Highlandsprovince of Kon Tum on March 14 to rebury the remains of fiveVietnamese soldiers who laid down their lives in the resistance waragainst American imperialism.
The event took place at the war martyrs’ cemetery in Ngoc Hoi district.
The remains were discovered in Ya Yang forest, Ya Xier commune (Sa Thaydistrict) by a search team of the Army Corps 3 on February22-23.
Accordingto the team, the fallen soldiers were likely from Regiments 209 and 66, and someother reinforcement units, which joined the battlefield in the Central Highlands in March,1968./.
