Renowned Korean singer donates money to mangrove forest development in Vietnam

Singer Jisoo of Blackpink, one of the Republic of Korea’s most famous music bands, has recently donated all of the profits she has earned from her YouTube channel to charity organisation Save the Children that will use the money to develop mangrove forests in the Vietnamese southernmost province of Ca Mau, the Korean media reported.

Seoul (VNA) - Singer Jisoo of Blackpink, one of the Republic of Korea’smost famous music bands, has recently donated all of the profits she has earnedfrom her YouTube channel to charity organisation Save the Children that willuse the money to develop mangrove forests in the Vietnamese southernmostprovince of Ca Mau, Korean media reported.

Currently, Jisoo has 4.99 millionsubscribers on her YouTube channel Happiness Jisoo.

The singer opened her YouTube channel inJanuary 2023 and previously expressed her intentions to donate the money shemakes from her YouTube channel, sharing that the money will be donated toplaces that need it more than she does.

Jisoo also recently launched her ownagency, BLISSOO, for her personal activities.

The four-member Blackpink had a concert at the Hanoi-basedMy Dinh National Stadium on July 29 and 30, 2023, drawing a total of 70,000concert-goers, including around 3,000 foreigners./.
