Report on government draft vision to 2020 released

The Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM) and the Government Office on December 18 held a seminar to release a report on a project to build a roadmap for implementation of Government draft vision to 2020.
The Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM) and the GovernmentOffice on December 18 held a seminar to release a report on a project tobuild a roadmap for implementation of Government draft vision to 2020.

The2012-2013 project was funded by the Swedish International DevelopmentCooperation Agency (SIDA), with the support of numerous internationalexperts.

It aims to build a Government vision thatcaters the demands for reform and renewal, improve the state managementefficiency in the context of global integration and market economicdevelopment in Vietnam.

The 16-chapter research covers issuesrelated to the economic restructuring process in Vietnam, macroeconomicmanagement, public administrative reform and governmental modernisationvision until 2020.

Researchers also brought forth a roadmap forthe 2014-2016 and 2018-2020 periods, with focuses on forming a basicsystem for human resources, developing a national training managementand public servant performance evaluation system, as well as setting up acentral recruitment agency.-VNA
