RoK CJ group assists Vietnamese taekwondoists

The CJ group of the Republic of Korea has pledged to financially support Vietnamese young female taekwondoists between 2013 and 2019 to help them sharpen their skills for global competitions.
The CJ group of the Republic of Korea has pledged to financially support Vietnamese young female taekwondoists between 2013 and 2019 to help them sharpen their skills for global competitions.

The pledge was stated in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on financial sponsorship between the Korean CJ group, the Vietnam General Department of Sports and Physical Training and the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation in Hanoi on May 20.

Under the MoU, the Korean side will be responsible for training cost, work with relevant agencies to seek experienced Korean coaches for Vietnamese taekwondoists, and sponsor cash prizes for medallists.

Vietnamese female taekwondoists will compete at the 17 th Asian games in the Korean city of Incheon and the 2 nd Youth Olympic Games in China in 2014.

They are also expected to participate in the 31 st Olympic Games in Brazil in 2016, and the 18 th Asian games in Hanoi in 2019.-VNA
