Child Fund Korea (CFK), a professional child welfare organisation in the Republic of Korea, will present 1,500 bikes to needy Vietnamese children under its programme to support children to school.

Most of the beneficiaries are primary school pupils living in mountainous areas where they have to walk a far distance from home to school, averagely three to four kilometres. These bicycles will help them have easier access to education.

The present is donated by the Kookmin Bank Financial Group (KB), which has carried out various social activities for needy children in many countries.

A CFK volunteer group is expected to arrive in Vietnam on April 4 to present the bikes and join volunteer work in several provinces.-VNA
