RoK stars to help VN children

Two stars from the Republic of Korea (RoK), Song Seung-hun and Kim Tae-hee, will come to Vietnam to advertise their newly released TV series entitled My Princess and also raise funds for needy children in the country.
Two stars from the Republic of Korea (RoK), Song Seung-hun and KimTae-hee, will come to Vietnam to advertise their newly released TVseries entitled My Princess and also raise funds for needy children inthe country.

They will arrive in Vietnam tomorrow andmeet fans to introduce Korean history and culture, their actingexperience, a behind-the-scenes look at My Princess and answer questionsof the local media.

My Princess will be aired inVietnam on SCTV17 this month. The romantic comedy, which premiered inthe RoK in May, is a love story between an ordinary college studentnamed Lee Seol (Kim Tae-hee) who one day discovers she's a princess andPark Hae-young (Song Seung-hun) who is put in charge of educating her onproper etiquette.

The Korean stars will also participatein a fund raising ceremony held by the National Fund for VietnameseChildren, where they will auction some costumes and props used in MyPrincess and donate the profits to charity.

Vietnamese celebrities such as pop singer My Tam and model-actress Ngo Thanh Van will also participate in the ceremony.

Born in 1980, Kim is famous in the RoK for her well-educated backgroundand natural beauty. She graduated from Seoul National Universitywith a major in Fashion Design.

Starting her career as amodel and later actress in television commercials, she rose to fameafter her role as Han Yoo-ri in the drama series Stairway to Heaven.

Throughout her career, Kim has won many awards including the ExcellenceAward for Actresses, granted by the Korean Broadcasting System, for herrole as Choi Seung-hee in Iris in 2009.

Song was born in 1976 and started his career as a model in 1995, after which he began acting in sitcoms and TV dramas in 1996.

In 2009, he was given an award in the Talent Division at the 17th Korean Culture Entertainment Awards.

The two stars' trip to Vietnam and the relating events are sponsored by Coway, a trademark of the RoK household goods. /.
