Seoul (VNA) – The Financial Services Commission of the Republic of Korea said the country will deepen cooperation with the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in the financial technology sector.
Sohn Byung-doo, Vice Chairman of the Financial Services Commission, said in a meeting with representatives from ASEAN on October 28 that an upcoming summit is expected to help better connect the RoK to ASEAN.
The summit will serve as a special opportunity for the RoK and ASEAN to deepen relations, Sohn said.
President Moon Jae-in is set to host the summit scheduled for November 25 in Busan.
ASEAN comprises Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam./.
