HaNam (VNA) - The Republic of Korea’s CJ Group opened its fifthanimal food factory at Dong Van Industrial Park II in Duy Tien district, thenorthern province of Ha Nam on January 26.
The 31.5 million USD plant, built on an area of 7.5 hectares, is capable ofproducing 320,000 tonnes of animal food per year. It also provides jobs for 300local labourers.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Chairman of the provincial People’sCommittee Nguyen Xuan Dong said that the CJ’s plant will spur the developmentof the local animal husbandry sector and make contributions to modernising the agriculturalsector.
He asked the group to comply with Vietnamese Government’s policies andregulations and take care of the material and spiritual life of its workers.Local authorities will continue support for and work to remove bottlenecks forthe company in a timely manner, he said.
Meanwhile, Lee Tae Ki from CJ Group in Vietnam noted that the animal foodfactory in Ha Nam is equipped with advanced technologies to provide customerswith high-quality products at competitive prices, thus helping develop thelivestock sector in the country.
CJ Group was established in 1973 and the group is currently has 26 plants inthe Republic of Korea, China, Indonesia and Vietnam.-VNA
