Thanh has said.
The Defence Minister made the suggestion during his reception on June 8 for the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Commander, Major General Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih Bin Abdullah, who is leading a delegation on an official friendship visit to Vietnam from June 7-9 at the invitation of the Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty.
Minister Thanh said he believes that the visit will contribute to boosting defence ties between the two countries, for peace and stability in the region and the world.
Commander Pehin Tawih thanked the Vietnamese defence chief for the warm welcome, saying that his visit aims to promote the bilateral defence connection.
In recent years, the relations between the Vietnam People’s Army and the RBAF have been reinforced through the exchange of high-level visits, naval cooperation, training, and exchange of young officers.
Cooperation results between the two sides practically contributed to the building of the ASEAN Community by 2015.
