Moscow (VNA) – Chairman of the ExpertCouncil of the Eurasian Ideas Foundation (EIF) Grigory Trofimchuk has penned anarticle underscoring the role played by the Communist Party of Vietnam(CPV) in Vietnam's national construction and development, as the party marks the 94th founding anniversary.

Trofimchukasserted that within less than a century since its establishment in 1930, theCPV has evolved into a development factor, ensuring thestability and security of not only Vietnam but also Southeast Asia and the widerglobal community.

Nowadays,Vietnam has become a trailblazer with unique characteristics and unparalleledperseverance in carrying out its plans. This is why the CPV stands out in thegeneral context, including within socialist systems, he wrote, adding that underthe leadership of the CPV, Vietnam’s political situation remains stable amidescalating global uncertainties. This stability, coupled with a skilledworkforce, has transformed Vietnam's economy into a magnet for leading globalmanufacturing companies.

Accordingto him, Vietnam's balanced position in international political relations isbecoming a model for many countries. Vietnam has shared its experiences atprestigious international forums as well as multilateral organisations as anactive member, from ASEAN to the United Nations.

Thevisits to Hanoi by Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Joe Biden toHanoi in 2023 underscored Vietnam's position in the contemporaryworld. Vietnam has truly become a focal point of regional events, playing acrucial role in addressing the tasks and issues that Asia and the world arefacing, including not only political matters but also infrastructure andtransportation issues. This demonstrates that the CPV serves as a foundation ofVietnam's reputation.

Aboutthe fight against corruption in the country, Trofimchuk mentioned several serious andcomplex corruption-related cases that have been investigated and strictly prosecuted. The actions of law enforcement agencies have instilled confidence in theGovernment and Party leadership at all levels, among both the people andpartner countries, forming a foundation for trust in Vietnam as a strategic andreliable partner in future projects.

He expressed admiration for Vietnam's economic indicators despite external instability andaccompanying challenges, noting that Vietnam's economy continued to achieve agrowth rate of above 5%, and rice exports surpassed 8 million tonnes in 2023, with a value of nearly 4.7 billionUS, the highest level since 2009. Foreign direct investment hit an all-high since2020, while trade surplus exceeded 26 billion USD for the eighth consecutiveyear.

Inconclusion, Trofimchuk asserted that through every challenge and triumph, theCPV has presented not only the Vietnamese people but the world at large with amodel of building a successful socialist State. Unwavering in its commitment, the CPV has adapted to the spirit of the times while remaining faithful to itsfoundational principles, such as the milestone year of 1986 which laid thegroundwork for Vietnam's Doi Moi process, with reform policies that have strengthenedand developed the State./.
