- General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam hosted a reception in Hanoi on November 2 for Politburo member of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the National Assembly of People’s Power Esteban Lazo Hernandez.
The Party chief welcomed the ongoing visit to Vietnam by the top legislator of Cuba and spoke highly of the results of the meeting and talks between the Cuban leader and State President Luong Cuong and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, respectively, earlier the same day. Read full story

- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, his spouse and a high-ranking delegation of Vietnam returned to Hanoi on November 1 evening, concluding their official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), attendance at the 8th Edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) and working trip to Saudi Arabia, and official visit to Qatar.
During the six-day tour, the PM had a various, substantive and effective working programme with nearly 60 activities, including talks and meetings senior leaders of countries, working sessions with leaders of ministries, organisations, major groups and funds of the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will lead a high-level delegation to the 8th Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Summit in Kunming, China’s Yunnan province, from November 5 to 8, at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang.
On this occasion, the PM will also attend the 10th Ayeyawady - Chao Phraya - Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit and the 11th Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-Vietnam Cooperation Summit. He will also engage in working sessions in China. Read full story

- The third working week of the 15th National Assembly (NA)’s 8th session will, between November 4 and 9, address several key issues, focusing primarily on legislative and inspection activities.
The NA will spend the entire day of November 4 to mull over the implementation outcomes of the 2024 socio-economic development plan, the projection for 2025, the implementation of the Constitution and laws, the NA’s resolutions, and its Standing Committee’s ordinances and resolutions. Other matters to be discussed include the adjustment of the national land use planning for 2021-2030 with a vision toward 2050, and the policy for additional state capital investment in the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (VCB).
