Hanoi (VNA) – Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a state visit to Vietnam from June 19 to 20, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced.
The visit will be made at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong./.
Vietnamese and Russian leaders exchanged congratulatory letters to mark the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Principles of Friendly Relations between the two nations (June 16).
The Vietnamese State, Government and National Assembly leaders on June 12 sent congratulatory messages to their Russian counterparts on the Russia Day (June 12).
The relationship between Vietnam and Russia is a testament to the strength of time-tested friendship and cooperation that have continuously been strengthened and expanded across fields, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has said.
