Moscow (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Ngo Duc Manh promised to introduce a Vietnamese province to Bryansk province for twinning during a recent working session with Governor Aleksandr Bogomaz, as part of his visit to the Russian locality from May 13-14.
Manh stressed that Vietnam’s farm produce, aquatic products, apparel and footwear could be sold in Bryansk market.
Meanwhile, Bryansk could boost cooperation with Vietnam in fields of its strength such as agriculture, machinery manufacturing and metallurgy, he said.
Bogomaz, for his part, lauded the prospect of the Vietnamese market with a 100 million population, considering it a great chance for Bryansk firms.
He said his province hopes to set up twin relationship with a Vietnamese locality, and committed all possible support to Vietnamese enterprises operating in the province.
Both sides expressed their delight at the development of Vietnam-Russia bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership over the past years, not only at national but also local levels.
They agreed on the need to take specific measures to help the two countries’ firms form networking for trade and investment.
Earlier, the Vietnamese ambassador visited several poultry and cattle breeding, slaughter and processing facilities operated by Miratorg Group, one of the largest suppliers of poultry and cattle meat in Russia. The group is employing 37,000 workers.-VNA
