Sao Beach listed among top 10 island beaches to relax on

Readers of an online website, www.cntraveler.com, have selected Sao Beach on Phu Quoc Island as one of the top 10 island beaches to unplug and unwind.
Readers of an online website, www.cntraveler.com, have selected SaoBeach on Phu Quoc Island as one of the top 10 island beaches to unplugand unwind.

They picked Sao Beach for "its deserted, powder-whiteshore and lush tropical foliage – those gently swaying fronds offernatural shade from the high noon sun."

Also, as the beach is isolated and has little in the way of facilities, it's usually empty.

Theother beaches on the list of 10 include Meads Bay, Anguilla; PuntaCoco, Isla de Holbox, Mexico; Banana Bay, St Kitts; and Nevis andHoneymoon, St John, US Virgin Islands.

The Phu Quoc Islanddistrict of the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang covers a totalnatural area of 593sq.km, including 27 islands. Phu Quoc Island is thelargest with a total area of 567sq.km.-VNA

Search volume for Vietnam’s tourism ranks 7th globally

The top 10 most searched Vietnamese destinations were Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Hoi An, Vung Tau, Da Lat, Phan Thiet, and Hue. Notably, Vung Tau and Ninh Binh recorded the highest growth in search volume with over 75%.
