“Say No to Fake News” project comes to Dong Thap province

Dong Thap (VNA) – Following the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho, the project “Say Noto Fake News” of Vietnam News Agency came to Dong Thapprovince in the region on July 8.

Closeto 100 students at Kim Hong secondary school took part in the event. 

Theywere told about fake stories and their negative impact on the society, as wellas learned on how to recognise fake news on social medias and response tofalse information.

Carried out by youth unions of Vietnam News Agency, the programme is expected to reach other cities andprovinces nationwide to raise students' awareness of fake news.

Previously in June, the agency hosted a similar event in the northern port city of Hai Phong./.

Phu Tho: 200kg bomb safely relocated, detonated

According to a report by the Phu Tho Military Command, local residents spotted the bomb on August 31 in the Da River after the river water receded, exposing it beneath mud and soil on the riverbed. The bomb remained intact, including its fuse, and was located about 300m from a residential area.
