At the meeting (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) –Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat and Minister of TransportNguyen Van Thang will take the floor at the Q&A session in the 15th National Assembly’s fifth session in Hanoi on June 7, which are televised nationwide.
After Minister - Chairman of the Government Committee forEthnic Minority Affairs Hau A Lenh and Government members explain relevantissues, Minister Dat will be questioned about national sci-tech developmentstrategy; hi-tech application for socio-economic development, especially inagriculture; the allocation,management, and use of State budget for scientific research; the commercialisation of research results from institutes, universities and public service units; mechanisms and policiesto encourage private investment in the field; and the enforcement oflaws and policies regarding sci-tech development fund for enterprises.
DeputyPrime Minister Tran Hong Ha and ministers of Finance, Planning and Investment,Agriculture and Rural Development, Education and Training, Information andCommunications will also clarify issues concerned.
Inthe afternoon session, Minister Thang will make clear solutions to improving the transport infrastructure system and alleviating traffic congestions in majorcities, the State responsibility for inspection activities, raising thequality of inspections for road and inland waterway vehicles. Other topicsinclude transportation management and the issuance, revocation and management of roadand inland waterway vehicle permits.
Deputy PM Ha togetherwith ministers of Planning and Investment, Finance, Construction, Science and Technology,Public Security and National Defence will also join in the Q&A session to givefurther explanations on transport issues./.
