to the new variant Omicron on January 6, bringing the total Omicron cases in the
country to 112.
Meanwhile, the
Indonesian Government has temporarily banned the entry of
foreign nationals from 14 countries in a bid to prevent the spread of the variant.
Indonesian citizens who travel from
abroad are allowed to enter Indonesian territory by following strict health protocols
set by the Government.
Indonesian citizens and foreigners who
have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 abroad, will be inoculated at a
quarantine site after arriving in Indonesia. They are required to undergo a PCR test.
Also on January 6, the Thai Health Ministry raised its COVID-19 alert level
