SEA Games 28: More gold medals secured for Vietnam

Earlier the day, their teammate Tran Xuan Hiep won a gold medal in the Men’s Optional Broadsword event.

Also the day, gymnasts Phan Thi Ha Thanh and Dinh Phuong Thanh grabbed gold medals in the women’s individual final and men’s individual all-around competition, respectively.

Le Thanh Tung, Hoang Cuong, Dinh Phuong Thanh, Pham Phuoc Hung and Dang Nam grabbed the first gold in men’s gymnastics team final.

Swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien continued shining at the regional event with a silver and a bronze in the women’s 100m freestyle and women’s 50m backstroke categories.

At the SEA Games, Vien broke two Southeast Asian Games records in less than an hour and struck four gold medals for Vietnamese delegation.

By 8pm of June 8, the Vietnamese delegation Vietnam ranked second in the medal tally with 26 gold, 12 silver and 30 bronze medals.-VNA
