The school, covering 383 squaremetres on Sinh Ton island, cost nearly 12.5 billion VND. It will behanded over to local authorities on April 19, said the Programme’sSteering Board when reviewing its second phase in Ho Chi Minh Cityon April 12.
Head of the Programme’s Steering BoardTruong My Hoa said she is happy to see enthusiastic response by pupilsin Ho Chi Minh City and other localities across the country.
Many of children donors sent their pocket money to the programme, said Hoa, who is former Vice State President.
The first phase of the Programme saw the first school built on TruongSa Lon island. It has been in service since April, 2013.
The Programme “For beloved Truong Sa students” is co-organised by theVu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, Ho Chi Minh City Law newspaper, and Ho ChiMinh City Television.-VNA
