Three wild python moluruses that were seized in May by the Forest Protection Department province in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong were released into the jungle on July 4, local authorities announced.
The pythons, which weighed a total of 37 kilogrammes, were found hidden in three bags during a raid in a local guest house in the province’s Lam Ha district.
The owner has been identified as 45-year-old Le Van Dan from central Thanh Hoa province. He failed to produce any documents declaring the animals’ origin.
