Seminar on Vietnam-France ties held in Hue

A seminar on “Vietnam-France relations: Past and present” was held in Hue City, the central province of Thua Thien-Hue, on April 25 on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties.
A seminar on “Vietnam-France relations: Past and present” was held inHue City, the central province of Thua Thien-Hue, on April 25 on theoccasion of the 40th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomaticties.

The event was organised by the HuePedagogic University , the Hue University of Sciences in coordinationwith Thua Thien-Hue’s Vietnam-France Friendship Association.

The speakers talked about France’s role in the changes in Vietnam’s education in the first half of the 20 th century, a panoramapicture of Vietnam-France cooperation in Thua Thien-Hue, and the role offriendship associations in the ties between the two countries.

Addressing the gathering, Editor-in-chief of the magazine“France-Vietnam Prospects” Dominique de Miscault appreciated the roleand contributions of the Vietnam-France Friendship Association to theties between the two countries.

The same day, aphoto exhibition was held in the city, in which photographers from thetwo sides showed their works on Vietnam ’s rice and countryside.-VNA
