A seminar on women conducting diplomatic activities for peace took place in Hanoi on December 15, as part of activities to contribute to Vietnam’s diplomacy in its role as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2020-2021 tenure.

Hanoi (VNA) - A seminar on women conducting diplomaticactivities for peace took place in Hanoi on December 15, as part of activitiesto contribute to Vietnam’s diplomacy in its role as a non-permanent member ofthe UN Security Council for the 2020-2021 tenure.

The event attracted female Vietnamese ambassadors and Lieutenant Sa MinhNgoc, one of the first female officers from the Vietnam People’s Army to join theUN peacekeeping mission in South Sudan.

Ambassador Luan Thuy Duong told the gathering on Vietnamese women’simportant contributions to diplomatic activities for peace. She alsohighlighted their tireless dedication to peace, development, and fostering the futureof later generations.

The seminar joins nine others on women and their contributions in differentfields taking place throughout December and early January.

A painting exhibition was also held on the occasion, with nearly 60works featuring Vietnamese women and their efforts in national development./.
