Serbia’s National History Museum has presented Vietnam with an album of digital photographs of late President Ho Chi Minh during his official visit to Yugoslavia in 1957, to mark the 55 years of diplomatic ties between Serbia and Vietnam.
The presentation took place as a delegation of Vietnamese diplomats, led by Deputy foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, visited the Republic of Serbia from July 3-5.
During the visit, the Vietnamese delegation met with representatives from Serbia ’s Ministries of Foreign Affairs and of Economy and Regional Development, and the Foreign Policy Adviser to the Serbian President.
The Serbia side said they attract importance to strengthening and consolidating its traditional friendship with Vietnam.
They also praised Vietnam for its great achievements after 26 years of renewal, as well as its growing status around the world.
The two sides reached a consensus to boost bilateral cooperation in several fields, including economics, trade, education, telecommunications and defence industry.
Both agreed to hold negotiations as soon as possible to reach agreements on economic cooperation, double taxation avoidance, and investment encouragement and protection.
Serbia and Vietnam shared the same viewpoint on the East Sea issue, agreeing that the dispute must be settled peacefully, on the basis of international law, in particular, the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.-VNA
