Kien Giang (VNA) - The High Command of Naval Zone 4 on January 11 said it has just aided a sick sailor at sea and brought him ashore for further treatment.

Ha Trong Binh, 47, from Ho Chi Minh City, was onboard a fishing ship operating in the contiguous waters between Vietnam and Malaysia.  

A coast guard vessel under the High Command approached the ship on late January 10 to provide checkup and first aid for the sick sailor, who showed the symptoms of headache, dizziness, and vomiting blood.

Diagnosed with gastrointestinal bleeding and decreased blood pressure, Binh was later transported to Rach Gia city in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang for further health monitoring and treatment.

The work took place in line with COVID-19 prevention and control measures./.
