Singaporean and Indonesian officials and agricultural enterprise representatives met on August 13 in Makassar, the capital city of Indonesia’s province of South Sulawesi, to discuss cooperation opportunities.
Yusni Emilia Harahap, Director of the Indonesian agro-product processing and promotion company, said the meeting was held to discuss measures to boost vegetable, fruit and fishery exports to Singapore.
Tan Poh Hong, Executive Chief of the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore, said the two countries are seeing great opportunities to expand cooperation in agriculture as both are in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and boats convenient transport conditions.-VNA
