Sunrise Material of Singapore signed an agreement with a Vietnamese company on August 11 to develop a polymer wrap film production project worth 100 million USD in the northern province of Nam Dinh.

Nam Dinh (VNA) – Sunrise Material of Singapore signed an agreement with aVietnamese company on August 11 to develop a polymer wrap film production projectworth 100 million USD in the northern province of Nam Dinh.

The dealwas signed with the Dai Phong infrastructure development joint stock company.

The projectwill cover 4ha at the My Thuan Industrial Park. Itsconstruction will be carried out in five years, starting in 2024. The factoryis expected to manufacture the first products after 15 months, according to an executive of SunriseMaterial.

Chairmanof the Nam Dinh People’s Committee Pham Dinh Nghi said this is a big project demonstratingthe province’s success in investment attraction, especially in high technologyand environmentally friendly sectors.

Nam Dinhpledges the best possible conditions to help the businesses address any obstaclesto the construction and operation of the project, he added.

Foundedin 2004, Sunrise Material is specialised in researching, producing, and supply hi-techpolymer wrap film, especially for food packaging. Its production is sold inover 60 countries around the world./.

2025 coffee exports hit target, set for record 7.5 billion USD

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAE), Vietnam exported an estimated 953,900 tonnes of coffee worth 5.45 billion USD in the first six months of 2025, increasing by 5.3% in volume and 67.5% in value compared to the same period in 2024.

Cross-border tourism, trade rebound at Huu Nghi int’l border gate

Statistics show that over 1.24 million people have completed immigration procedures at the Huu Nghi International Border Gate since January, including more than 430,000 with passports (up 5.8%) and over 810,000 with travel permits (up 22.5%).
