Thai Binh (VNA) – The VietnamAssociation of Small and Medium Enterprises (VASME) has committed to providingcontinuous support for disadvantaged and policy beneficiary families in thenorthern province of Thai Binh from 2017 - 2020.
The documents on cooperation in social welfareswere signed between the VASME and authorities of Thai Thuy and Dong Hungdistricts of Thai Binh on June 22 and 23.
Itwas as part of activities to implement the joint Resolution of the Governmentand the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee onsustainable poverty reduction and the building of new-style rural areas andcivilised cities.
Accordingly, the VASME will mobilise resourcesfrom its members and coordinate with the VFF to build houses for speciallydisadvantaged families and the families with people devoting to the nation inthe two districts.
The association will ensure that assistance willbe given to the targeted group in a timely and effective manner.
Addressing the signing ceremony, VASME PresidentNguyen Van Than said over the past years, the association has participated in thecampaign for the poor and social welfare programmes in many localities acrossthe nation.
From 2017 to 2020, the association will supportfive breeding cows to the targeted families in Thai Thuy and help build fivehouses for other households in Dong Hung each year.-VNA
