The ministers in charge of social affairs, education - training, and planning - investment are fielding queries within their remit on November 11, the second day of the question and answer (Q&A) session of the 15th National Assembly (NA)’s second sitting.

Hanoi (VNA) – Theministers in charge of social affairs, education - training, and planning -investment are fielding queries within their remit on November 11, the secondday of the question and answer (Q&A) session of the 15th National Assembly (NA)’s second sitting.

Ministerof Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung is replying to legislators’concern about different issues pointed out on November 10 afternoon, includingthe care for children orphaned by COVID-19, the access to support policies forpandemic-hit people and businesses, the policy to attract labourers back towork, assistance to vulnerable groups, and the monitoring and examination ofcharitable activities.

After that,NA deputies will ask the minister of education and training about teaching andlearning quality, education and training reforms amid the COVID-19 pandemic,online teaching and learning, the equality in access to education amongdifferent regions, and health care for students to prepare for school reopening,among others.

Regarding planningand investment, questions will focus on measures for economic recovery anddevelopment; assistance for enterprises, cooperatives, business households torevive and boost operations; the medium-term public investment plan for 2021 -2025; ways to accelerate the disbursement of public investment and key projects;and the progress of programmes and projects funded through official developmentassistance (ODA) and concessional loans.

Some ministers,heads of sectors, and deputy prime ministers responsible for relevant areas willalso provide more details.

Vietnam, China sign 32 cooperation documents

The documents include a cooperation plan between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) for the 2026–2030 period; a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the Organisation Commission of the CPV Central Committee and its Chinese counterpart; and a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam and the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Parliamentary leaders hail development of Vietnam – Russia ties

The top legislator of Vietnam proposed that both sides deepen political and diplomatic connections, as well as parliamentary cooperation, through delegation exchanges, high-level meetings through various channels, and the successful organisation of a visit to Vietnam by the Speaker of Russia’s Federation Council and a trip to Russia by the NA Chairman to co-chair the 5th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee in 2026.
