Social housing projects to be examined in June

The Ministry of Construction (MoC) has requested localities examine issues related to social housing projects and report them to the ministry before June 30.

The examination will focuses on thequantity and implementation progress of social housing projects orcommercial housing projects that have been converted into socialfacilities.

The MoC also requested localities propose measuresto deal with slow-moving projects and other obstacles in order toaccelerate the implementation of social housing projects.

According to Deputy Minister of Construction Pham Hong Ha, severallocalities have actively implemented policies under GovernmentResolution 02/NQ-CP to remove barriers to business production, marketsupport and the handling of bad debts.

As a result, a number ofsocial housing projects have been promptly completed, partly meetingthe demands of low-income residents.-VNA
