Spain hosts Vietnam film week

A Vietnam film week is underway in Spain from May 23-25 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Spain.

Hanoi (VNA) – A Vietnam film week is underway in Spain from May23-25 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties betweenVietnam and Spain, according to the Cinematography Department under theMinistry of Culture, Sport and Tourism.

The film screening event is in the framework of the Vietnam Days inSpain organized by the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry, and the highlight of theVietnam Cultural Space, to be launched at a ceremony on May 24 at CirculoBellas Artes theatre.

Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister is scheduled toappear at the ceremony.

The film “Cuoc doi cua Yen” (Yen’s life) was selected to start the filmweek. The film won the best film title at the 9th World PremieresFilm Festival of the Philippines in 2016.

Three other films to be introduced to the Spanish audience on theoccasion were “Toi thay hoa vang tren co xanh” (Yellow Flowers on Green Grass),“Quyen”, “Dao cua dan ngu cu” (The Way Station).

Other activities in the Vietnam Cultural Space include exhibitions ofpaintings, photos, handicrafts and fine art articles, and folk games, in orderto introduce the Vietnamese culture to the Spanish public.-VNA

Vietnamese film week opens in Greece

The film week offers nine feature and documentary films which reflect the history, culture, land, and people of Vietnam, and many of them have won national and international awards.

The relics will be open for public worship and veneration at Hanoi-based Quan Su Pagoda from 6 am to 9 pm from May 14-16. They will then be transferred to Tam Chuc Pagoda in the northern province of Ha Nam from May 17-21, before being returned to India.
