The singers, including local stars Anh Khoa, Ha Anh Tuan, and PhuongVy, the Republic of Korea ’s megastar boy band Super Junior, and Australian popstar Kate Miller-Heidke, will perform at a massive free concert entitled MTVExit Live in Hanoi ’s My Dinh National Stadium.
The concert, which isunder the MTV EXIT (End Exploitation and Trafficking) campaign, is aiming toraise awareness and increase prevention of human trafficking andexploitation.
After Hanoi , the show will tour Ha Long Bay for anotherperformance on April 3, then head to Can Tho on April 10.
American bandThe Click Five, recipients of the Knockout Award at the MTV Asia Awards, willheadline the final show, which will be held in the Military Zone 7 Stadium inHCM City on April 17. As avid supporters of MTV EXIT’s initiative to end humantrafficking, the band are thrilled to return to Southeast Asia once again tolend their voices to this urgent cause.
The MTV Exist show in HCM City isexpected to attract more than 25,000 people.
Footage from the concertswill be used to produce a series of television programmes aired nationally onYanTV, the campaign’s official music channel. “We are thrilled to announce theMTV EXIT Live in Vietnam concert tour,” said MTV EXIT’s director, Simon Golf.“The power and influence of music is a great force for change. By holding thisconcert tour across the country, we are harnessing this power, using it toinform and mobilise young people in the fight against humantrafficking.”
Produced by the MTV Europe Foundation in partnership withthe US Agency for International Development, and the Australian Government’sAgency for International Development, MTV EXIT has held 15 concerts to raiseawareness about human trafficking across Asia over the past two years, includingevents in Thailand , Laos , Cambodia , Nepal , Taiwan and the Philippines.
