State President Nguyen Minh Triet arrived in Yokohama , Japan , on Nov. 11, for the 18 th APEC Summit at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan.
As scheduled, President Triet will attend the APEC Business Summit on Nov. 12, where he will deliver a speech on the role of ASEAN’s economic integration in Asia-Pacific.
On the day, he will meet with representatives from the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians Organisations and receive executives from Japan ’s key groups.
With the theme "Change and Action", the 18 th APEC Summit will focus on discussing growth strategy and human security and assessing the implementation of Bogor goals, regional economic integration and Doha talks./.
