Hanoi (VNA) - The US’s Geological Survey (USGS) reported that a 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck near the coastal area of Bicol in the Philippines on October 2.
The phenomenon occurred at 5:19 AM local time with an epicentre depth of approximately 10 kilometers.
Meanwhile, a second earthquake, with a magnitude of 6.6, also shook an area 156 kilometers east-southeast of Neiafu, Tonga.
According to USGS, the earthquake took place at around 8:05 PM GMT on October 1, with an initial epicentre depth of 10 kilometers. Residents near the epicentre reportedly felt the tremors.
As of now, there have been no warnings or reports of damage from either earthquake./.
