Student horror film in Hollywood festival

“The 4 th” , a film produced by students in Ho Chi Minh City, has been chosen for screening at the 7 th International Student Film Festival in North Hollywood in November.
“The 4 th” , a film produced by students in Ho Chi Minh City, has been chosen for screening at the 7 th International Student Film Festival in North Hollywood in November.

The 20-minute film, made by students from the Raffles International College Vietnam, tells a horror story that takes place on the fourth floor of a college building, involving the murder of a janitor.
Directed by Nguyen Do Khoa, the film is one of the 64 nominees chosen from over 250 submissions for the festival that will take place on November 7 and 8.

Other members of the filmmaking crew are: Le Thi Nhu Anh, editor; Nguyen Uy Vu, music composer; Nguyen Hoang Duy, visual effects; and Truong Thang Khoa, media artwork.

All the students belong to the Interactive Media Design Faculty in the Singapore-invested university.
The two-day film festival will screen and give more than 10 awards including Best Feature, Best Animation and Best Director for films made by students from elementary school to college graduates.

All the films chosen are from nine countries: Vietnam , Turkey , Sri Lanka , Sweden , Romania , Israel , Canada , Australia and the US .

The International Student Film Festival Hollywood, founded by entertainment industry veteran Robin Saban in 2003, offers student filmmakers from all over the world the opportunity to gain recognition from film industry leaders, creating career development opportunities in their home countries as well as in the US , the festival website says./.
