A Vietnamese art troupe will take part in a festival entitled “Non-border chorus” in Michigan , USA from July 19-23, which aims to introduce Vietnamese culture to international friends.
Around 300 pupils from 40 countries and territories around the world will participate in the festival. The 18 Vietnamese pupils and students will perform popular folk songs and dances such as “Leaning on boat side”, “Black horse melody”, “Dance with paper fans”, “Dance with conical palm hats” as well as perform traditional musical equipments.
This is a chance for international friends to enjoy Vietnamese arts and culture and help Vietnamese pupils and students in the US to know more about Vietnamese folk culture, especially traditional music.
The festival, held for the first time in 2007, aims to strengthen solidarity among nations for a peaceful world. In 2009, Vietnam joined the festival in the Republic of Korea and gained a bronze medal./.
