Sun Taxi signs deal to buy 3,000 VinFast electric cars

The Sun Taxi JSC on June 1 signed a contract to purchase 3,000 VF 5 Plus electric cars from carmaker VinFast, marking the biggest vehicle purchase contract in Vietnam so far, with delivery scheduled from now until 2025.

Hanoi (VNA) - The Sun Taxi JSC on June1 signed a contract to purchase 3,000 VF 5 Plus electric cars from carmaker VinFast,marking the biggest vehicle purchase contract in Vietnam so far, with deliveryscheduled from now until 2025.

Itis part of Sun Taxi's strategy on green transformation, business expansion and service quality improvement, thus promoting Vietnam's green transportation revolution and supporting the country's overall goal ofachieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

Inthe initial phase, Sun Taxi will deploy electric taxi services in cities andprovinces such as Quang Binh, Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, NhaTrang (Khanh Hoa), Phan Thiet (Binh Thuan), Gia Lai and Kon Tum. By 2025, all3,000 VinFast electric cars in Sun Taxi's fleet will be running throughoutVietnam.

Sincejoining the taxi transportation market in October 2013, Sun Taxi has to date owned a fleet of 2,900 vehicles across 17 cities and provinces. With theaddition of 3,000 VinFast electric cars from now until 2025, Sun Taxi willprovide unique experiences for customers while elevating its brand in the greenbusiness transformation trend and contributing to promoting a green lifestyle./.

Gia Lai approves 56-million-USD wind power project

The ACV said on July 20 that contractors are deploying additional workers and equipment to speed up construction under Component Project 3, which covers the airport's essential aviation infrastructure. Vietnam records 15.4% growth in international air passengers

CAAV statistics show that international passenger throughput reached 26.2 million as of June 15, 2026. Of the total, Vietnamese airlines transported 9.6 million international passengers, a slight increase of 0.2% year-on-year, accounting for 36.6% of the total international passenger market.
