A striking cake sculpture inspired by Vietnam's National Reunification Day has gone on display in Ho Chi Minh City, with a young chef using sugar art to honour the country's wartime history and the sacrifices behind peace.

The culture, sports, and tourism festival for ethnic minority communities in the Vietnam-Laos border area, central region, and Central Highlands regions will be held in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue from May 17-19 under the theme “Solidarity, friendship, and development”.

Food lovers are offered an opportunity to taste different dishes from Vietnam and dozens of other countries at a cuisine festival which opened at the Octagon House, Hanoi on June 16.
