The lantern parade featured familiar Mid-Autumn lanterns and folk art forms alongside distinctive images of Thang Long-Hanoi, including paper doctors, the Pen Tower and Ink Slab. According to the organisers, these symbols evoke the tradition of valuing education and knowledge, as well as the hopes that previous generations have placed in children.

More than 20 foreign artists and music bands from 13 countries and territories around the world will perform at the Monsoon Music Festival (MMF) – Vietnam’s biggest international music festival.

The Mid-Autumn Festival 2015 is underway in Hanoi’s Old Quarter with numerous activities organised to serve people and especially children.
