Tanzania wants to boost cooperation with Vietnam

Both Tanzanian Prime Minister Mizengo Pinda and Speaker of Parliament Anne Makinda expressed the wish at separate meetings with a delegation of the Vietnam National Assembly’s Committee for Deputies’ Affairs led by its head Pham Minh Tuyen.

The Vietnamese delegation paid a working visit to Tanzania from June 20-26.

The Tanzanian leaders agreed that the friendship and cooperation between the two countries are developing fruitfully and there is great potential for the two nations to increase their cooperation.

Prime Minister Mizengo Pinda said Tanzania plans to dispatch a number of experts to Vietnam to learn the country’s experience in aquaculture.

Tanzania also proposed the two countries’ relevant agencies put forth practical measures to promote cooperation in trade and bilateral investment.

The Vietnamese delegation also met with representatives of Committees of Foreign Relations, National Defence and Security, Constitution and Law of the Tanzanian Parliament during the visit./.
