Tay Ninh to build waste-based production plant

The Department of Planning and Investment of southern Tay Ninh province has approved a project to build a plant to manufacture mechanical products from industrial waste in the locality.
The Department of Planning and Investment of southern Tay Ninh provincehas approved a project to build a plant to manufacture mechanicalproducts from industrial waste in the locality.

Accordingly,Hue Phuong Green Environment Co. Ltd, which operates in the field ofwaste treatment in the province, will invest 50 billion VND (2.35million USD) to implement the project.

The 6,000 sq.m plantwill be constructed in Thanh Duc, Go Dau district with a daily capacityof 300 tonnes of products, specialising in producing rivets, screws,shaped steel, and slabs of bronze, lead and aluminium.

Theprovincial People’s Committee asked the investor to use advanced andenvironmentally friendly technologies in the plant while ensuringregulations on waste treatment. The investor is also asked to prepare areport on the environmental impact to submit to the Ministry of NaturalResources and Environment for approval.

The department saidsolid waste in the locality was usually buried, wasting money and land,and causing groundwater pollution.

Once operational, theproject is expected to contribute to protecting the environment andbring economic benefits to the locality.-VNA
