Hanoi (VNA) – A national teleconference to review the implementation of a project to search for and collect the remains of martyrs during 2013-2015 will be organised on December 7.

The information was released by Major General Tran Van Minh, Director of the Department of Policy under the Vietnam People’s Army’s General Department of Politics, at a press briefing in Hanoi on December 3

The event reaffirms the strong determination of the Party, State, army and localities to better the work so as to meet the aspirations of people and martyrs’ families, he said.

The project’s targets set for 2015 have been basically reached, he added.

Since 2013, 7,997 sets of remains of fallen soldiers have been found and reburied, with 1,347 sets repatriated from Laos, and 2,578 sets from Cambodia.
