Tetra Pak inaugurates sterilised paper box plant

Swedish food processing and packaging solution provider Tetra Pak inaugurated a plant at Vietnam – Singapore II Industrial Park in the southern province of Binh Duong on July 3 to manufacture sterilised paper boxes.

Binh Duong (VNA) – Swedish food processing andpackaging solution provider Tetra Pak inaugurated a plant at Vietnam –Singapore II Industrial Park in the southern province of Binh Duong on July 3to manufacture sterilised paper boxes.

Covering a site of 100,000 sq.m, the plant was built at atotal cost of 120 million EUR (135 million USD) and has a designed capacity of12 billion paper boxes each year, which is expected to amount to 20 billion inthe future.

Its products will be sold at home and abroad, includingASEAN member countries, Australia and New Zealand.

It is the eighth plant built by Tetra Pak in Asia-Pacificand one of the most eco-friendly ones that meet the highest environmentstandards in the world.

Speaking at the event, Tetra Pak’s President and CEO AdolfoOrive said the plant is a strong evidence for the company’s long-termcommitment to doing business in Vietnam, contributing to the country’s economicgrowth and generating more local jobs.-VNA

Ho Chi Minh City targets third-quarter growth of over 11%

Domestic consumption up over 13%, tourism continues strong growth

The total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenues in August were estimated at 679.8 trillion VND (26 billion USD), up 1.6% from the previous month and 14.9% year-on-year. In the January-August period, the figure reached 5.24 quadrillion VND, representing a 13.3% increase year-on-year.

Hanoi moves to maintain appeal to FDI inflows

In the first eight months of 2026, the capital city attracted more than 3.7 billion USD in FDI, equivalent to 83% of the plan set for the year. Newly registered FDI exceeded 572 million USD across 450 projects, up 175.78% in project numbers and 209.46% in capital compared to the same period last year.
