The Thai Government is sending a message assuring those who plan to travel to Thailand of the local authorities' commitment to tourist safety.
Government spokesperson Major General Sansern Kaewkamnerd disclosed that the message from Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, calls on Thais and the international community to rest assured that authorities are in control of the situation after the bombing incident at Ratchaprasong Intersection in Bangkok .
The number of uniformed and plainclothes security officials conducting patrols has been increased to ensure safety for the public. Authorities have also been standing side by side with the victims of the bombing attack and working to bring the perpetrators of the attack to justice.
Maj. Gen. Sansern indicated that the message calls on those planning to travel to Thailand to believe that they will be safe during their stay and will be able to experience the unchanged goodwill and friendliness of the Thai people.-VNA
