Hanoi (VNA) - FIFA-level referee Teetichai Nualjan will supervise the match between Long An and Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) in the 21st round of the V.League 1 on August 17, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has announced.

Nualjan of Thailand, 37, was recognised as a FIFA referee in 2012.

The coming match is very important to the two sides as they both face relegation.

At present, HAGL have 21 points to rank 12th out of 14 teams, while Long An are at 13th place with 18 points.

In this year’s football season, besides the bottom-placed team having to play in the First Division, the second bottom placed team will also have to face the representative of the First Division team to earn a ticket to stay in the premier league.

Earlier, the VFF also invited referee Muhammad Nazmi Bin Nasaruddin of Malaysia to manage the match of Hai Phong and Hanoi T&T in the 20th round.-VNA
